The conversation at Bharat Fintech Summit reinforced a clear reality AI is now central to how digital lending operates and scales.
As India advances toward a $10 trillion economy, lending will remain at its core. Banking and credit will transform with AI and digital at the heart driving speed, sharper risk decisions, responsible growth and embedding empathy into every customer interaction.
The real advantage will belong to institutions that industrialise AI with vision, discipline and strong human core.

Been 4 years since I have been a part of all the summits that TransBnk - Transaction Banking Platform hosts or participate.
From having a very small booth in Global Fintech Fest in 2023 to becoming the CXO Dinner Partner for Bharat Fintech Summit for 2025 and 2026, this has been one of the transformational and growth journey which i have seen all across.
Personally, ever since the day Vaibhav told me about TransBnk - Transaction Banking Platform in 2022 till today, I have learned so many things that I feel can never be measured by anything else.
The quality of people I meet across is just phenomenal, and each and every one is humble and ready to help at all fronts, which makes the journey even more exciting.
Cheers to more exciting years of Growth to the entire team, including me :-)

Some fantastic discussions on AI implementation at Bharat Fintech Summit. However, one event stood out: Ramesh Lakshminarayanan's talk on HDFC's new AI stack. He was absolutely on-point about a number of things:
1. Banks should own their AI stack. It can help them understand the opportunities that AI models and workflows bring. Currently, most banks 'buy' instead of 'build'. I think this applies to all organizations.
2. You don't need a 'large' language model for 'small' tasks. SLMs are enough for many of the workflow segments. This allows organizations to host models in a cost-effective way.
2. Get the data piece right. That's the core building block of any AI stack. Most stacks fail because they don't spend enough time on data. Break down data siloes.
3. Create a startup-like mindset within the organization. Small teams that experiment and build fast. They created a small team within a coworking space to work on cutting-edge problems.
To understand the layered architecture that AI-powered systems need, take a look at the layers in the image.
Very glad to hear someone go technically deep and explain what it takes to build AI systems — and why building in-house AI capability delivers far greater ROI than buying.
And if you decide to build in-house AI capabilities, we can explain what it takes.

Posting after a while and this felt like the right note to return on.
Recently attended the AI-in-Fintech Bharat Conclave organised by the Unified Fintech Forum (Formerly,DLAI) in Bengaluru, alongside with Harish Bode.
What stood out across the day was how clearly the conversations moved beyond hype and into execution.
Discussions around AI’s language of risk, the evolving role of credit bureaus, and Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH)’s role in shaping India’s Financial DPI stack reinforced a consistent theme: scale in Indian fintech will come from systems that are accountable, explainable, and grounded in context not just smarter models.
The founders’ panel on solving India’s hardest financial problems further echoed this reality: sustainable growth will reward those who build patiently, responsibly, and in collaboration with the ecosystem.
Operating from the Founder’s Office at Capitabel Solutions, these insights strongly align with how we think about strategy. Our #phygitalfirst approach is not a narrative choice, it’s a response to India’s market realities, where technology must work alongside human judgment, on ground presence, and long-term trust to be truly effective.
It was also great meeting Sai Sudha Chandrasekaran, CEO of the India Fintech Foundation (SRO-FT DF), and exchanging perspectives on how founders, regulators, and institutions need to move in sync to build responsible fintech at scale.
What I’m particularly looking forward to is working more closely with stakeholders across the credit and lending ecosystem lenders, bureaus, platforms, and policymakers to build origination frameworks that scale responsibly while staying rooted in India’s real operating conditions.

Looking back at Bharat Fintech Summit, what stood out most was the collective momentum shaping the next phase of financial infrastructure.
The summit brought together leaders across banking, NBFCs, and the broader fintech ecosystem to examine how India’s financial landscape is evolving beyond digitisation, toward structured, scalable infrastructure. Discussions moved past surface-level innovation and focused on deeper shifts: AI embedded into lending workflows, lifecycle visibility across origination to collections, capital efficiency, and regulatory alignment at scale.
At Knight FinTech, we were proud to contribute to this dialogue, showcasing how interconnected credit ecosystems are being built on unified digital rails. The focus remains clear: strengthening the operating layer that enables institutions to scale intelligently, collaborate seamlessly, and operate with confidence.
The conversations reaffirmed a shared direction, the future of finance will be defined not just by innovation, but by resilient infrastructure and embedded intelligence.
